Letters is a series of more than 100 drawings based on the images of hand-written letters found on the Internet. The collected images of letters are printed out and hand copied on papers with a pencil using a light pad. The letters are written in various languages from Tagalog to Armenian and by some well-known and mostly unknown people from different places and different times.
As most of the letters are written in the language I do not know, I am tracing the act of writing itself, not the meaning of them. Through the process, the virtual images of once actual writings become actual again.
